•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Herc stands 6'1", short ginger/blond hair and scruffy stubble or clean-shaven depending on when in the week you catch him. He has a boxer's build, but still has a decent bulk of muscle. He seems to have the permanent smell of metal about him, mixed with deoderant, soap and, on the rare occasion, cologne. Standard day-to-day affair will be comfortable, but durable, clothes; Cargo pants, t-shirts. He wears a worn pair of Alpinestars Motocross boots, similar to those worn in the movie "Mad Max"Because Herc is a massive nerd. He has a few scars here and there, and a visible tattoo, depicting Australia in the background with an eight-point star overlaying it on his right forearm.
•DEMEANOR: Herc holds himself as a military man. He carries himself surely, confidently, but not cockily. His tone of voice is normally quiet, gruff and to the point, rarely raising above normal talking levels.
•ABILITIES: Herc's strengths and abilities, in a physical sense, lie with his training as a pilot in the Australian Defence Force, as well as training with the PPDC. Jaeger pilots are taught various forms of unarmed and armed combat, mostly martial arts-based. This can be anything from Greco-Roman Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to Hanbojuutsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. Herc's style, shown by Striker Eureka's is that of a Dirty Boxer. He seems to favour boxing to any sort of grappling technique to take down the Kaiju. He will have some knowledge of sword-fighting, as fighting hanbo is the best way to determine drift compatibility.
He is able to pilot modern-day jets and, at least, Bell-Kiowa helicopters as part of his tenure as an ADF pilot, but he also has the added bonus of being a long-term Jaeger pilot, having piloted his own Mark-I, Lucky Seven and the Mark V Striker Eureka, as well as being test pilot for most of the production-model Jaegers. He will likely have some skills in aviation mechanics and Jaeger mechanics.
Being a Jaeger pilot for nearly two decades, Herc also has a strong mind. Sharing mindspace with another person is no simple feat. Having piloted with at least two partners, his brother, Scott Hansen, and his son, Chuck, Herc is likely very adept at keeping his mind focused and eliminating stray thoughts, as those can prove fatal to a Jaeger.
Other than that, he's a normal human.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: "Ghost-Drift." - A phenomenon experienced by Jaeger pilots where the connection made by the drift remains somewhat active. It's normally seen active when the two pilots are together, but can often manifest in memories of the other pilot. It is not known what, exactly, causes this, or how to cure it.
Radiation poisoning - Herc is a Mark I Jaeger Pilot. Most of the original Jaegers provided inadequate shielding against the nuclear cores used to power them. Whilst research into preventitve medications has been particularily fruitful, Herc may show some signs of radiation sickness.

A large Austrailan flag hangs over a wall, and a desk with a few personal effects; a Snowglobe from Melbourne, a Sydney Harbour Bridge paperweight, and three photos; one of Herc and a woman holding a baby, the other of Herc and another man; they look like brothers, and the third of Herc and his son, the latter not smiling.
